This project involved the exterior design of a new café located on a prominent corner site in Beach Haven. The design intent was to create a welcoming local destination that engages pedestrians and contributes positively to the surrounding streetscape.

A light coastal palette, informed by the nearby Beach Haven beaches, is paired with raw, natural materials to give the building a relaxed yet robust character. Material selection and detailing were carefully considered to weather well over time while maintaining a warm, approachable presence.

The corner condition is used as an opportunity to open the café to the street, strengthening the connection between indoor and outdoor activity and encouraging interaction with the local community. The result is a contemporary coastal intervention that enhances the everyday experience of the area while establishing a clear identity for the café.
